NOVEMBER 26TH
OPENING DAY:
Welcome to the 2014.2015 ski season! It is time again for first tracks, rope drop, powder stashes and an
entire season of fun. Help us celebrate the return of winter and the kick off to another great season.
DECEMBER 6TH– 7TH
DEMO DAYS:
The biggest names in the business will be at the mountain all weekend long demoing the latest gear.
DECEMBER 6TH
EARLY SEASON RAIL JAM: Jump the Gun Presented by Mountaineer Parks
Hey y’all, it’s time for the early season rail jam on Skidder. The Mountaineer Parks Crew
will be setting up a single barrel, double barrel and cannon feature to session in jam format.
Get decked out in your best blaze orange and camouflage for this down home competition.
DECEMBER 13TH
MICROBREW WINTERFEST:
The Village will come alive with the region’s best craft brewers and live entertainment.
DECEMBER 20TH
PROGRESSION SESSION JAM #1: Presented by Mountaineer Parks
The first of three jams this season brought to you by Mountaineer Parks and the coaches at our Ski &
Snowboard School. The jam style session incorporates coaches with riders to build your skills and take
your riding to the next level. All levels welcome. Laid back fun for all ages.

HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS:
The mountain is a holiday wonderland. Join us for holiday crafts and meet Santa & Friends on the slopes!

BEATS ON THE BASIN: Shawn Owen Band
Professional snowboarder turned songwriter, Shawn Owen performs 300+ shows per year as a solo
performer and fronting the Shawn Owen Band, sharing the stage with national acts such as The Wailers,
Slightly Stoopid, G. Love & Special Sauce, Passafire, Donovan Frankenreiter, Larry Keel, Dirty Heads and
many more, bringing their distinctive reggae/jame/ska/party vibe throughout the East coast from upstate
New York to southern Florida and all in between.
JANUARY 2ND– 4TH
BURTON WOMEN’S CAMP
A snowboard camp designed by women, for women. Reconnect with old friends and create new ones during a weekend full of fun. Work on your skills and relax with wine tastings, chair massages and more.

Grammy-nominated bluegrass expansionists, are at ease with an evolving sound that defies

Passafire continues to progress towards what they feel is their true identity as a band in the reggae rock
genre. Throughout the years, they have become a perpetually touring band playing hundreds of shows a
year with bands like 311, Rebelution, Slighty Stoopid, Pepper, Matisyahu, The Wailers and many more.

HEAD WOMEN’S SKI CAMP
Join us for a ski camp designed for women. This weekend will be full of fun with coaches helping you take

BEATS ON THE BASIN: The Movement
Hailing from Columbia, South Carolina, the reggae-rock group was formed in 2004 by a trio of Sublime
and Pixies fans. They have toured nationally with SOJA, 311, Rebelution, The Green, Slightly Stoopid, G.
Love & Special Sauce, The Original Wailers, Wu-Tang Clan and performed at many U.S. festivals.

SOUTHERN ALPINE RACING ASSOCIATION: Under 16 – Under 21 Race
Private race taking place on Widowmaker. The SARA races create opportunities for alpine ski competition
within the region of Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina for a variety of ages and athletic abilities.

CUPP RUN CHALLENGE
One of Snowshoe’s oldest traditions, conquer the steeps of the legendary Western Territory in this giant
slalom race. Multiple classes for ski and snowboard.

BEATS ON THE BASIN: The Davisson Brothers
The Davisson Brothers Band has a unique style, fusing a blend of country, southern rock, and bluegrass to
create a distinctive sound. Their remarkable sound, combined with the band’s talent and energy, has
gained them an incredibly loyal and rapidly growing fan base.

Most artists would bristle at the term self-indulgent, but Keller Williams often invokes it in describing his
own approach to music. To Williams, being self-indulgent means creating music that satisfies him-if he
likes what he’s produced, he figures, then his audience is more likely to embrace it too.

This modern folk band draws its muse, and its name, from the night-blooming Cereus–
a desert flower that only blooms at night. This beauty blooming from the dark is a symbol–
of hope, beauty, and for this young band, music.
